A mystical creature wanders restlessly through forest in a desperate search for souls.
lyrics
I see...
I hear...
And I'm alive
The world
Around
Is captured by the night
I'm in the forest
Of tragedy dreams
Of ancient fears
Of cry in the night
I am alone
Walking the road
Holding my axe
Searching for light
Here I am - Standing in darkness
Forest myth - I am the legend
Taste of blood - Never forgotten
Waterfalls whispering softly
Shadows move creeping in silence
Mother nature, hear my prayer
Light in the woods
So can you hear the immortals
Their angry cry
For thousand years they scream for blood in my head
There is no choice I can make now
Cause they decide
They're telling me that you're already dead
Eternal voice of carnivores
The nature's eye
That's watching down while I come back to my roots
As long as no one survives here,
I'm satisfied
Until again I see the light in the woods

I would classify Myridian as Viking Metal; in the same vein as Amon Amarth. However, while AA may have hit the proverbial wall, Myridian is still growing as evidenced by their latest offering. Additionally, AA is not (and, quite frankly, never was) able/inclined to perform with the passion/range of Myridian. New to this album is a high/low register of growls, tighter songs/instrumentation, and a whole new emotive response via the listening experience. Buy it+25% of the low asking price! 5 stars! I am a sucker for a bloody good melody - for a tune that plays to my soul and growls that fit nicely over the top. Evadne have really got something here that works beautifully. This has been the only genre of music that has sung directly to me for over five years now and Evadne is the perfect example of what I love the most. Andy
